O365 Account with MFA on Thunderbird Can’t Send Email

Was playing around with Microsoft 365, got an E3 account for myself. I had set up MFA for obvious reasons. I set up my Exchange mailbox and was trying to add the account to my Thunderbird client. First step was to create an “app” password. You need an app password because Thunderbird doesn’t play nice…

Windows DNS Server Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Severe/Critical vulnerability in Windows DNS. Severe enough that DHS CISA is classifying it a level 10 (out of 10). A quick workaround is mentioned in the Microsoft link below: To work around this vulnerability, make the following registry change to restrict the size of the largest inbound TCP-based DNS response packet that’s allowed: Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DNS\Parameters  Value: TcpReceivePacketSize Type: DWORD  Value data: 0xFF00…

Koken – API Error. The theme is not able to make contact with your Koken installation.

Posted on June 26, 2017June 26, 2017 By ninjatechnyc

I ran Koken as a photo gallery for my personal website under a Godaddy hosting.  Worked well.  But at some point I decided I needed my own “external” server for troubleshooting purposes, to help with my day-to-day System Admin job. Something outside of our corporate network so I can see if things are accessible from…
